Woman chasing dog on interstate causes three semi truck pileup

Pennsylvania police are looking for a woman who caused a multi-vehicle crash while chasing a dog on the interstate in Girard Township yesterday.

The crash happened around 1:40 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-90 at mile marker 11.

One Trucker Injured In Multi-Vehicle Crash

According to Erie News Now, three trucks were driving in the right lane of I-90 when a woman chased a dog out of the median and into the left lane of the interstate.

The first truck driver slammed on his brakes to avoid hitting the woman, but his sudden stop caused all three trucks to collide.

The driver of the second truck, which caught fire after the crash, was taken to the hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported

The second and third trucks were heavily damaged in the crash.

The woman and the dog did not stay at the scene after the multi-vehicle collision. She is described as heavy set with brown hair and blue clothes. Her car is also blue. If you have information on the woman or the crash, you’re asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police at 814-774-9611.
