CHP calls out commercial drivers for taking a number two on the freeway

Many truckers pointed out that there are few bathroom options in the area.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) recently sent out a call asking commercial vehicle drivers to stop going to the bathroom on the side of the roadway.

On October 29, the CHP’s Donner Pass division shared a Facebook post about the alarming about of human waste that they’ve spotted on the site of the freeway.

The post reads:

This poop has to stop…..commercial drivers are continuing to make non emergency stops on the freeway to relieve themselves. This bio hazard cleanup is costing tax payers a lot of money. It’s ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING……please act like professionals and use appropriate restroom facilities.

CHP shared another post to warn violators that they will be cited for failing to use proper restroom facilities if caught.

Several members of the trucking community popped into the comments on the post to point out that drivers may have little choice about where they go due to a scarcity of restroom facilities.

Others pointed out that it isn’t just truckers relieving themselves on the roadway.
