CHP uses Facebook to shame DUI truck driver involved in two hit and runs

Yesterday, California Highway Patrol (CHP) shared a Facebook post about a truck driver’s DUI arrest as a warning to anyone else who might consider getting behind the wheel while under the influence.

On Tuesday, September 24, the Bakersfield division of CHP took to Facebook to share information about the unnamed truck driver’s arrest:

“Honestly ossifirrr, I only had two.” The driver of this big rig could’ve caused a lot of damage with the potential of loss of life or serious injuries. He was involved in two separate hit and run collisions with other motorists. Fortunately no one was hurt and he was arrested for DUI. 

Please think twice before getting behind the wheel after drinking alcohol. No excuses!

The Facebook post also featured photo of a grinning CHP trooper putting the truck driver in handcuffs.

Several members of the trucking community commented on the post to point out that drinking while driving professionally can be a recipe for disaster.
