Dale Earnhardt Jr. Survived Fiery Plane Crash

Tennessee authorities have confirmed that former NASCAR star Dale Earnhardt Jr. survived a serious plane crash this afternoon.

Forty-four year old Earnhardt Jr.’s plane crashed at the Elizabethton Municipal Airport in Bristol, Tennessee on August 15.

The crash happened after the Cessna Citation Earnhardt Jr. was traveling in rolled off the end of the the runway after landing, ABC News reports.

The Carter County Sheriffs Office has confirmed that Earnhardt Jr., his wife Amy Reimann, their 1 year old daughter Isla, and the two pilots survived the crash without life threatening injuries. The family dog was also on board the plane and survived the crash.

In the video below, you can see Earnhardt Jr. being treated at the scene for minor injuries. He was later taken to the hospital for evaluation.
