Police in Texas are asking for help identifying the driver of a truck who they believe could be involved in sex trafficking.
The McLennan County Sheriff’s Office has asked the public for help identifying a truck believed to be involved in human trafficking.
Police say that they were called to the scene at a Flying J truck stop location in on South New Road in Waco, Texas, on Tuesday, August 6, after a call was placed to the the National Human Trafficking Hotline.
Police say that they were able to rescue a Canadian woman in her 50s who told authorities that she had been forced by a trucker to perform sex acts at multiple truck stops over a period of a couple of months.
Authorities say that the woman is now in a safe place, KWTX reports.
Anyone who recognizes the semi truck, which is white with purple flames, is asked to call the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office at (254) 757-5170 or the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888. Police have not offered a physical description of the suspect at this time.
