A driver shared video footage of his battle against rising floodwaters in Beaumont, Texas.
The video was shared by Facebook user Brett Walker on Thursday morning as heavy rain brought in by Tropical Depression Imelda resulted in flash flooding throughout eastern and southeastern Texas.
More than 40 inches of rain have fallen in the past 72 hours, causing flooding that forced transportation officials to shut down several roadways including I-10 between Winnie and Beaumont, Texas.
Walker says that he made it through the floodwaters, but transportation officials are urging drivers to stay off the road.
