Fines for violating trucking regulations are going up

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is increasing fines for violating trucking regulations.

Effective on Wednesday, July 31, the FMCSA will increase the amount that truckers must pay for violating regulations.

The fine increase is due to the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act of 2015, which requires that federal agencies increase fines each year to account for inflation.
