A Florida Kenworth dealer helped a former truck driver suffering from dementia to relive his days behind the wheel.
Lifelong trucker John Kober is a dementia patient at Arden Courts Memory Care Community in Winter Springs, Florida.
Kober doesn’t drive anymore, but when a local Kenworth dealership heard about his story, they jumped at the chance to help him revive the memory of his time as a trucker with a ride along in one of their T680 trucks.
Facility worker Shana Mann told local news outlet WESH 2 that “on a general basis, he’s a pretty pleasant fellow, but I’ve never seen him in this light. He’s pretty happy about this.”
