Fire officials are investigating after a New York trucking company lost more than a dozen trucks in a large fire on Tuesday.
The fire was reported at the Draper Trucking facility around 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20, in Holland, New York.
Authorities say that a garage where the company’s trucks were housed caught fire. The fire spread to the trucks inside and witnesses reported hearing explosions. The building later collapsed on top of the burning trucks.
Black smoke from the fire could be seen for miles.
Fire crews from 18 companies responded to the blaze and were able to knock it down in about an hour, the Buffalo News reports.
No injuries were reported.
Fourteen trucks were a total loss in the fire. The building that housed the trucks was also deemed a total loss.
Authorities are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
