CDLLife recently got the chance to chat with an up-and-coming female truck driver who is making a name for herself on YouTube.
Truck driver and content creator Pinkie Dabney has made a splash in the trucking community with her Youtube channel Keeping it 100 Experiences. Her channel focuses on providing useful trucking tips, motivational messages, and a good dose of feisty fun.
Dabney says that she’s been trucking for about 27 months, but that she has always had a passion for driving trucks that led her to enter the industry as soon as her children got a little older. While she says that it can be frustrating dealing with issues like parking and regulations, Dabney says that trucking is rewarding because of the opportunities to meet new people and to enjoy the freedom of the road.
Dabney says that sharing her story of life on the road with her audience of 32,000 subscribers comes naturally. “I always have a phone in my hand,” she said, noting that she’s always been drawn to video and photography as a hobby.
With more than 32,000 subscribers, Dabney says that it’s rare that she enters a truck stop without being recognized from her YouTube videos.
For now, Dabney says that she’s working on growing her audience to help her bring her message of inspiration to members of the trucking community and to connect directly to as many of her followers as possible. She admits that she’s had obstacles in her life but reminds her fellow drivers that “if I can do it, you can do it.”

The video features a dash cam clip of jackknife crash that Dabney experienced in January 2019 as well as Dabney talking about the lessons to be learned in the aftermath.
