Arizona transportation officials say that a truck driver lost his life last night when a severe windstorm toppled multiple trucks.
The blowovers occurred on Wednesday night on I-10 west of Tonopah, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS).
Authorities say that six trucks pulling box trailers were blown over near mile marker 83. Two of the rollovers happened in the westbound lanes while the other four occurred in the eastbound lanes.
Arizona DPS reported that one male driver was killed in a rollover crash. His identity has not yet been released.
One other driver suffered a minor injury.
Wind gusts of up to 50 m.p.h. and rain were recorded in the area when the crashes occurred.
All lanes of I-10 have reopened.
