Kentucky officials say that a large amount of whiskey was lost in a massive warehouse fire overnight.
The fire was reported about 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, in Woodford County, Kentucky, according to Lex18.

Early reports indicate that a lightening strike may have sparked the fire, which spread to two barrel houses on the Jim Beam property.
No injuries were reported.
Multiple agencies responded to the fire, which burned into Wednesday morning as firefighters struggled to contain it.

About 45,000 barrels of young whiskey were lost in the blaze, but officials from Jim Beam says that the fire won’t impact product availability for their customers.
