A driver’s dash cam captured frightening footage of an out of control car slamming into a semi truck in North Carolina.
The footage was captured just after noon on Friday, June 7, on southbound I-85 in Charlotte, North Carolina, according to WBTV.
Troopers say that a woman with her small child in the car hydroplaned as she tried to merge onto the interstate, causing her car to slide into the path of a semi truck.
Police say that the semi truck driver swerved to try to avoid the car and crashed into the median.
The mother was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. No one else was hurt.
Troopers say that the mother could be charged for driving too fast for conditions.
