Indiana State Police have shut down all of southbound I-65 and part of northbound I-65 in downtown Indianapolis after a major crash involving a semi truck.
The crash was reported around 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 3, according to the Indianapolis Star.

According to Indiana State Police Sergeant John Perrine, a northbound semi truck struck an overhead highway sign, causing it to collapse onto southbound lanes of I-65 near Martin Luther King Boulevard at mile marker 116.
Indiana State Police say the crash involves semi trucks and this highway sign.

After the crash, the semi truck rolled over and spilled its load into the southbound lanes of the interstate.

No serious injuries were reported.
Indiana State Police have shut down southbound I-65 until further notice. Two northbound lanes of I-65 are also closed indefinitely. Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes.
Major traffic backups have been reported in downtown Indianapolis as a result of the crash.
