Multi-vehicle collision caught on trucker’s dash cam

Published:

Police believe that a car driver was distracted when he caused a violent three vehicle collision.

The crash happened just before 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, in Palmyra, Maine.

Police say that 61 year old Rachel Bryant was attempting to make a left turn when her vehicle was rear ended by 21 year old Devin Corson. The impact of the crash sent Bryant’s car into the lane of dash cammer and truck driver Robin Crawford, 32. Crawford wasn’t able to avoid the crash.

Bryant was taken to the hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries.

Corson was cited for failure to produce evidence of insurance and failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle, according to Central Maine. Police say that they suspect that distracted driving was the cause of the collision.

Crawford described the crash: “This is my dash camera footage… Happened 6-13-19 in Palmyra, Maine.. 21 year old boy in black car, rear ends a car that was trying to turn across in front of me. The impact sent him into my lane. Luckily everyone survived. The woman and husband that was in maroon car both had several broken bones and were bruised and sore. The kid in black car got the air bag to the face. I was in the truck and I didn’t get hurt…. thank god I had the dash cam.”
