Two people were shot at a Love’s Travel Stop location in north St. Louis on Thanksgiving Day.
The shooting occurred at the Love’s location in the 6100 block of North Broadway around 1:15 p.m. Witnesses reported hearing 7 to 10 gunshots fired.
When officers arrived, they found one person who had been shot in the head and another who had been shot in the back.
The person who was shot in the head didn’t survive. The other person was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The St. Louis Dispatch reports that a man was taken into custody at the scene, but it isn’t clear whether he was associated with the shooting.
Homicide detectives are investigating the incident.
