Pickup driver in hot water after cops catch him hauling 53′ trailer

Canadian cops say that they’ve charged a driver who tried to use a pickup to do a semi truck’s job.

On Thursday, December 19, the Ontario Provincial Police shared a Facebook post detailing their unusual traffic stop.

They wrote:

Wait? What! Driver of pickup truck charged after #OPP stopped the vehicle pulling a 53 foot trailer down the roadway in Norfolk County. Luckily, no one was injured. We all have a part to play and traffic #safety is everyone’s responsibility. #DriveSafe#NorfolkOPP

The Facebook post went instantly viral, with more than 4,000 shares in two hours.

Many Facebook users were impressed by the pickup driver’s ingenuity.
