Indiana State Police say that a truck stop is now secure following an officer-involved shooting.
The shooting was reported around noon on Tuesday, July 16, at the Love’s Travel Centers off I-65 in Memphis, Indiana.

Troopers say that one male has been taken to the hospital with unknown injuries following a police-involved shooting in the truck stop parking lot.

Police say that they were searching for a missing or possibly suicidal person at the truck stop. That person is believed to have fired a gun first and was then shot by police.

No one else was hurt, according to police.
Troopers say that the scene has been secured.
