Police say trucker threatened workers with knife because he was ‘disappointed with truck wash’

Published:

Texas police say that a truck driver has been arrested after an altercation with truck wash employees this week.

The incident took place around 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 11, in Laredo, Texas, according to LMT Online.

The Laredo Police Department responded to a truck wash location on FM 1472 Road after employees called about being threatened by an armed truck driver.

When officers arrived on scene, truck wash employees told them that 54 year old semi truck driver Rolando Javier Quiroga Arrambide was unhappy with the way that they had washed his semi truck. They said that he started by yelling profanities and following one worker to his office and that he later pulled a knife out and started to threaten the workers.

Police said that Quiroga Arrambide eventually left the truck wash building, got into his truck, and then reversed and crashed into another truck as he left the parking lot.

Officers soon caught up with Quiroga Arrambide and placed him under arrest.

Quiroga Arrambide was charged with making terroristic threats and causing damage to another vehicle. He has been released on bail.
