Arizona police are on the hunt for a suspect who they say severely beat a semi truck driver in September.
On Wednesday, November 20, police in Glendale, Arizona, issued a call for public help in locating a suspect wanted for aggravated assault against a semi truck driver.
Around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2019, Glendale police responded to a call about a fight at a bar located on NW corner of 59th Ave and Bethany Home Rd.
When police arrived, they found truck driver Bruce Adams lying on the ground severely injured with two bar patrons attempting to administer first aid.
A news release from the Glendale Police Department explained the circumstances leading up to the attack on Adams:
Bruce has reached out to the police department asking us to share what had occurred to him, his injuries, and photos.
Bruce advised he is a semi-truck driver and drives long hours with his co-pilot and best friend, his dog Cash. Bruce had parked his semi behind the grocery store on the NW corner of 59th Ave and Bethany Home Road and left the vehicle running with Cash comfortably inside guarding the truck. He saw there was a bar and decided to stop in for a quick drink. Bruce said he ordered one drink from the bartender and was on his phone face-timing a friend. He was getting a strange vibe in the bar and only finished half his drink when he asked the bartender for his tab. Bruce said the female bartender began arguing with him about returning his card. Bruce does not remember anything else except waking up in the hospital.
When officers arrived, no one in the bar claimed to know what had happened to Bruce, to include the bartender. Bruce suffered three lateral strikes to his head and face, possibly from being struck with a pool cue. Bruce believes someone struck him from behind while he was speaking with the bartender.
A cash reward of up to $1000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspect. You can leave an anonymous tip at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO.
