Prius driver is almost pancaked by overturning delivery truck

Published:

The terrifying moment that a Prius driver was nearly crushed by a delivery truck in California was caught on security video this week.

The incident happened on Wednesday, January 23, in Pasadena, California, according to ABC7.

Aound 8:30 a.m. while motorist Rosa Mejia was sitting in her car, a truck making a turn at the intersection of Fair Oaks Avenue and Del Mar Boulevard toppled over — right on top of Mejia’s Prius.

Mejia described the fear she felt during the crash: “I felt something fall on top of me, but I didn’t know what it was… I really couldn’t see, I was so scared.”

Luckily, Mejia was able to make it out of the car without any serious injuries.

The truck driver was shaken up but also unhurt. “I feel sorry for the driver of the truck because he didn’t do it on purpose. It was just an accident, you just have to be more careful,” said Mejia.
