Texas police have asked for public help in investigating the death of a semi truck driver in late August — but they have provided few details about the crime.
On Monday, September 23, the Midland County Sheriff’s Office shared a Facebook post asking for public help in investigating the suspected murder of a truck driver.
The post reads:
The Midland County Sheriff’s Office and Midland Crime Stoppers needs your help on a Homicide that was committed in Midland County.
On August 23, 2019 at approximately 9 a.m., deputies responded to the 4100 block of East County Road 63 in reference to a medical call where a male was found unconscious. Upon arrival deputies located the victim in the sleeper of a semi-truck and determined he was deceased with a single gun-shot wound to the chest area. Investigators are currently working this case as a homicide.

Police provided no additional information about the identity of the truck driver or any suspected motive for the shooting.
