A young truck enthusiast enjoys a special bond with a truck driver in an uplifting new report.
Washington news station KOMO recently reported on the friendship that has developed between a young boy and Tacoma resident named Seth and his favorite Safeway truck driver Chris Cummins.
Seth, who is autistic, is a truck lover who hopes to one day grow up to be a truck driver.
Seth has a special appreciation for Safeway trucks and has developed a nightly ritual with Cummins. Every night, Seth and his family wait outside their home and every night, Cummins makes sure to drive by. The two exchange a greeting and then Cummins allows Seth and his family to hang out as he unloads his truck. After the truck is unloaded, Cummins spends time simply sitting and talking with Seth and his family.
Cummins said of the nightly pow wow with Seth, “If it puts me behind at night, I don’t care. If I get home late, that’s cool.”
