A Georgia-based trucking company has announced that they are closing down permanently — and the news comes within hours of another major trucking company closure.
Ellenwood, Georgia-based trucking company Ready Trucking will be closed for good as of Friday, August 30, according to an employee CDLLife spoke with on the phone.
The news of the closure was also confirmed by the company’s Google listing.
Ready Trucking employs 91 drivers and operates 103 power units.
The company was founded in 1968 and was a second generation family run business, according to their website.
The news of the Ready Trucking shut down came the same day that reports began to surface of the closure of Denver-based trucking company HVH Transportation. This closure left over 300 drivers out of work.
So far, 2019 has seen multiple trucking companies — both large and small — close, including Falcon Transport, LME, and NEMF.
