Several lanes of Interstate 44 in Oklahoma City were shut down early Tuesday morning after a semi truck crossed the center barrier wall.
The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. in north Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on I-44 at Interstate 235.
According to the Oklahoma City Fire Department, the semi truck was attempting to avoid an initial crash between two motorists when it collided with the barrier wall.
Two people were reportedly transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries following the incident, but those individuals have not been publicly identified, reported Koco News.
Two eastbound lanes and one westbound lane of I-44 were shut down as emergency crews worked to clear fuel and debris spilled in the wreck.
As of 11:10 a.m. on Tuesday morning, traffic was still congested on both sides of I-44.
