A serious winter weather storm has forced transportation officials to close several major roadways.

Nebraska
Around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 11, the Nebraska State Patrol announced that they were closing I-80 between Lexington and they Wyoming border as well as I-30 in that same area.
Minnesota
The Minnesota State Patrol says that all major roadways are closed in the southwestern part of the state and advises drivers to stay off the road. Hundreds of crashes have been reported overnight and into this morning.

South Dakota
Troopers warn that I-90 between Rapid City to Sioux Falls remains closed because of blizzard conditions.
Parts of I-29 remain closed as well.

Wyoming
Eastbound I-80 is shut down between Cheyenne and the Nebraska border, according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation.
Forecasters warn that the blizzard conditions could linger through Friday.
Transportation officials are urging drivers to check current travel conditions before beginning driving.
