Indiana authorities have issued attempted homicide charges to a man in connection with the stabbing of a truck driver last night.
Just after 6 p.m. on Friday, August 16, officers with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disabled semi truck on eastbound I-70 at mile marker 154.
When police arrived on the scene, they discovered that one of the two men in the semi truck was suffering from stab wounds.

The stabbing victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. His current condition is unknown.
The other man in the truck, 47 year old Florida resident Pavel Nery-Gonzalez, was arrested and later charged with attempted homicide, according to local news outlet WHIO.
Nery-Gonzalez is being held in the Wayne County Jail.
The semi truck that the two men were traveling in was removed from the scene to be secured for crime scene processing.
The incident resulted in a five hour shut down of eastbound I-70 near U.S. 151.
Police have not released a motive for the stabbing and are still investigating the incident.
