Semis toppled at Ohio truck stop as tornadoes tear through state

Severe weather struck an Ohio truck stop last night, causing chaos and flipping multiple semi trucks.

Authorities say that at several tornadoes passed through central Ohio on Monday night. During the storm, gusting winds struck the Love’s Truck Stop off Route 23 in Circleville, Ohio, and caused at least two semi trucks to blow over, according to the Columbus Dispatch.

The National Weather Service did confirm that a tornado occurred just south of Circleville last night.

There has been no report of serious injuries to anyone at the truck stop at this time.

At least 5 tornadoes occurred in the state of Ohio last night, killing an 81 year old man in the town of Celina and destroying dozens of homes and businesses. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has declared a state of emergency for Greene, Mercer and Montgomery counties.
