Tanker truck veers off interstate, plows into tree, in video clip

A motorist captured the moment that a tanker truck suddenly veered off of a Pennsylvania interstate and collided with a tree.

The video was captured around 8 a.m. on Monday, July 29, in what appears to be a construction zone on I-79 in McKean Township, Pennsylvania.

Police say that a southbound truck swerved off of the interstate, went through a guardrail, and hit a tree.

The truck driver was taken to the hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

Local news station YourErie reports that the truck was hauling sulfate and that there were no leaks or spills.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

In just a few hours, the video has already been viewed more than 25,000 times. You can view the video below.
