Team driver tussle turns into hammer attack

Wyoming police say that an argument between co-drivers at a truck stop took a violent turn this morning.

The incident happened around 8 a.m. on Monday morning at the Pilot Travel Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming, according to a news release from the Cheyenne Police Department.

Police say that “two team drivers who were driving the same semi were in an argument and one of the drivers struck the other in the head multiple times with a hammer.”

The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown.

The other driver was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault.

The incident remains under investigation.
