A truck driver and the teen driver who struck him head-on are both lucky to have survived a dramatic collision that was captured on dash cam on a New Hampshire roadway.
The incident happened on the morning of Tuesday, January 22, in Dublin, New Hampshire, according to the Sentinel Source.
Authorities say that 18 year old Samuel Lachance was driving a Jeep westbound on Route 101 when he swerved over into the eastbound lanes, striking an oncoming semi truck. The crash caused the semi truck’s fuel tanks to rupture and resulted in a massive fire.

A third vehicle was also involved in the crash. The two men inside this vehicle — Marc Cramer and his son, John — were able to pull Lachance out of the wreckage of the Jeep. Neither John or Marc Cramer were hurt.
The truck driver, 66 year old Jean Morency, was able to get out of the truck and was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Lachance was seriously injured, suffering burns, cuts, and traumatic brain injury, but he is expected to recover.
“It’s horrific. It’s very unfortunate. I’m glad everyone survived,” Morency later said.
Police are still not sure why Lachance crashed.
