Trailer full of $65K worth of energy drinks goes missing

Published:

Federal authorities are on the hunt after a trailer full of energy drinks went missing overnight in Florida.

According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the cargo theft occurred late on February 2 or early on February 3 near East Broadway and 50th Street in Tampa, Florida.

Investigators say that a truck hauling $65,000 worth of energy drinks went missing.

The truck was recovered in Broward County on February 7, but the trailer — and the energy drinks — are still missing.

The FBI is calling on the public to help them locate the trailer and they say that they will offer a cash reward of up to $2000 for information that leads to its recovery.

The trailer identification number is listed as LRG #5347. The Florida license plate number is 2277CS.

If you have any information on the stolen trailer, you’re asked to call the FBI’s Tampa field office at 813-253-1000 or click here to submit a tip online.
