Texas police say that a truck driver was killed this morning when his truck crashed off of an overpass onto a roadway below.
The crash happened around 7 a.m. on Thursday morning near downtown San Antonio, Texas.
Authorities say that the truck driver had merged onto I-10 westbound from I-35 southbound when he became involved in a minor crash with another vehicle.
Following that crash, the truck driver lost control and crashed off of I-10, with his vehicle coming to rest upside down on the roadway below.
The truck driver did not survive the crash. His identity has not been released, but he has been described as a male in his early 60’s.
No other injuries were reported.
The driver of the second vehicle stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police. No charges are pending against that driver at this time.
Alisia Pruneda of the San Antonio Police Department told MySA.com that while the cause of the crash remains under investigation, it is believed that weather was may have been a factor in the crash.
