Truck rolls off freeway, spilling load of Modelo beer on roadway

Drivers in California got their weekend kicked off early when a truck loaded up with beer crashed off of a freeway and spilled its sudsy cargo all over the road below.

The crash happened around 7 a.m. on the 10 Freeway in West Covina, California, according to Fox LA.

Police say that a semi truck driver was hauling cases of cans of Modelo beer westbound when he attempted to exit the freeway. The truck overturned on the freeway ramp, rolling down an embankment and spilling its load of beer onto North Garvey Avenue below.

The crash started a small fire.

No serious injuries were reported.

Caltrans responded to help clean up the spilled beer. Clean up is expected to take most of the day.

The crash remains under investigation.

Beer Delivery Truck Overturns onto West Covina Street

North Garvey Avenue between Fairway Lane and Hillhaven Drive will be shut down for most of the day while an overturned beer delivery truck is cleaned up.
