A popular Nebraska truck stop is keeping it’s doors open — for now — even though it is under water due to heavy flooding in the area.
The owner of the Jay Bros. Truck Stop off I-80 in Overton, Nebraska, told KnopNews2 that he is still open for business to serve the trucking community even though much of the property is under about 18 inches of water, but that he is monitoring the water level and may have to evacuate if the flood waters rise another foot.
The flooding is so intense that one social media user even spotted a man kayaking in the parking lot.
