Truckload of human excrement spills across highway

Published:

A truckload of human waste was strewn across Interstate 90 in Washington on Sunday after police say the truck driver fell asleep.

The accident happened on Easter Sunday, April 21st, in Issaquah, Washington at around 11:30 a.m.

Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson says that the truck driver was hauling human waste along Interstate 90 west of Route 900 when the driver reportedly fell asleep behind the wheel. The big rig then veered into the eastbound lanes where it crashed and overturned, spilling the load of human waste across the roadway.

Several lanes of I-90 were shut down for hours as crews worked to remove the fecal matter from the roadway and remove the wrecked rig from the scene.

Traffic was backed up for as long as 4 miles while the wreck was being cleared, but the road was reopened at around 2:00 p.m. reported My Northwest News.

The unnamed driver suffered only minor injuries, but information on citations issued to him in the incident, if any, has not been released.
