Indiana police are investigating after two young children lost their lives after they were struck by a grain truck at a farm yesterday.
Police were called to a farm in Kosciusko County near Nappanee, Indiana, just before 2 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon for a report that two children, ages three and five, had been struck by a truck.
Investigators believe that the children were underneath the loaded grain trailer when driver Benjamin Sheets, 26, pulled forward.
The children were both pronounced dead at the scene.
Local news outlet WSBT reports that the children lived at a home near the farm where the fatal accident occurred.
The incident is under investigation by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.
