A surveillance video clip that recently went viral highlights just how important it is for truck drivers to open their trailer doors safely — especially in windy situations.
The video clip was shared on Facebook by New York-based
Wilk’s 24Hr Towing & Recovery.
In the video, a man standing near his trailer doors is struck by one of the doors that was already open. The door strike appeared to knock the man unconscious.
UPDATE 2:20 p.m. — An employee with Wilks 24Hr Towing & Recovery reached out to CDLLife to let us know that the man in the video was reportedly okay. He said that he spoke to other workers who were at the scene and said, “Supposedly he’s ok. He just got knocked down and got back up didn’t want an ambulance to come or anything but they called it anyways as a precaution and he was checked out and is ok.”
