Texas transportation officials say that a truck hauling large barrels lost its load during a bridge strike in the downtown Houston area on Monday.

The incident occurred just before 9 p.m. on Monday night as a truck hauling 10 foot barrels eastbound on I-10 struck the Houston Avenue Bridge, causing the barrels to fall off of the trucks and roll onto the roadway, coming to a stop blocking two eastbound lanes of the interstate.
No injuries were reported.
This isn’t the first time that Houston drivers have had to dodge large cylindrical objects falling off of trucks following bridge strikes. During the fall of 2018, five runaway spools were reported on Houston highways in the span of two months.
