Volvo Trucks North America is issuing a recall for more than 15,000 trucks for a brake defect.
According to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recall documents published September 22, “the die cast pedal plate may break at one of its attachment points, possibly resulting in the brake pedal dislodging.” The brake pedal would then be inoperable and would increase the risk of a crash.
15,156 trucks are affected by the recall.

The recall is expected to begin October 30, 2020. Volvo Trucks North America will contact truck owners and provide any needed repairs free of charge.
