50 cows still missing after cattle truck overturns

Published:

Approximately 50 cows are still missing after a cattle truck tipped over in Wyoming on Thursday.

The accident happened on December 10th at around 4:30 p.m. in west Cheyenne.

According to KGAB News, the accident occurred on the northbound on-ramp to Interstate 25 from West Lincolnway.

Police spokesperson Alex Farkas said that, of the 100 cows in the trailer, twenty were killed in the wreck and 50 are still unaccounted for.

“I think that there still are some outliers out there,” Farkas said Friday morning. “We’re actually recommending that if individuals encounter a cow any time this week, they reach out to Animal Control.”

It is not clear if the truck driver suffered any injuries, but Farkas did cite “driver inattention” as the reason for the crash.
