A refrigerated semi truck dubbed a “deployable morgue unit” is now being used in central Colorado as a way to store bodies as a result of COVID-19.
The “deployable morgue unit” was announced on Tuesday, December 15th, reported Fox 31 News.
According to the Pueblo County Colorado Coroner’s Office, the rig will be used for “short-term storage of recently deceased persons awaiting final arrangements.”
Currently, Pueblo County is under “Level Red” restrictions, but has had a declining number of hospitalizations due to COVID-19 for 10 straight days.
