CDLLife App members’ touching tribute to driver who was taken away too soon

In the wake of a terrible accident, CDLLife App members have come together to honor the life of a community member who was taken too soon.

48-year-old truck driver Jennifer Lynn White, a prominent and beloved member of the CDLLife App community, passed away on Tuesday, October 13th after being crushed in a tragic accident during a trailer change at a Nestle Waters bottling plant near McBee, North Carolina.

Nestle Waters has “temporarily ceased operations at the facility” and has described the fatal incident as a “tragic trailer change accident.” They issued the following statement on the matter:

“A third-party truck driver passed away following a tragic trailer change accident that occurred in the exterior truck yard at our (McBee) Chesterfield County, South Carolina facility. We are deeply saddened by this incident, and our hearts go out to the family and friends of the driver. We are working with the third-party trucking company and responding authorities to understand what happened and will continue to support them with the investigation. To assist both the investigation and our employees, we have temporarily ceased operations at the facility and have made employee support resources available to our local team.”

Since the tragic accident, CDLLife App members who knew Jennifer, and even those that didn’t, have organized several tributes to the fallen truck driver, including a ‘lights on vigil’ on the evening of October 18th, and a ‘blow your horn’ tribute at 10 a.m. EST on October 19th.

In addition to the organized tributes, many have made heartfelt posts to the app, using the tragedy as a reminder that life is short, so treat each other kindly.

The entire CDLLife community has felt the loss of this cherished member, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her trucking family. Our thoughts are with Jennifer’s family during this tragic time.
