Chain-reaction crash obliterates parking lot full of cars

Published:

A chain-reaction crash sent a tractor trailer skidding into a parking lot full of cars in New York on Monday afternoon.

The crash happened on November 9th at around 1 p.m. in Bridgehampton, New York.

According to Patch news, 27-year-old Shahab Fadavi-Akhavan was traveling along Montauk Highway near Corrigan’s Automotive when a car in front of him suddenly stopped, forcing Fadavi-Akhavan to slam on the brakes.

A pickup traveling behind Fadavi-Akhavan then rear ended Fadavi-Akhavan’s vehicle, pushing him into oncoming westbound traffic directly into the path of a semi truck driven by 30-year-old truck driver Ernest Dimatteo.

The semi truck and car collided, sending the big rig skidding off of the roadway and into a nearby parking lot, where it crashed into 13 parked cars.

Luckily, Fadavi-Akhavan suffered only minor injuries, and no other injuries have been reported.
