A trucking group announced that they’ve partnered with local health officials to identify clinics where truckers from the state of Arkansas can be tested for COVID-19.
On May 28, the Arkansas Trucking Association said that they coordinated with the Arkansas Department of Health to provide COVID-19 testing for Arkansas CDL holders at 30 health clinic locations statewide.
The clinics are open to provide testing services Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Calling ahead to the testing location is recommended though not required, the group says.
Drivers are asked to bring their insurance card and their CDL to the appointment and to prepare to wear a facial covering while visiting the clinic.
The Arkansas Trucking Association says that there is no out of pocket expense for the testing, even if a driver does not have health insurance.
Average result times are 2 to 3 business days, though this can vary.
If you have questions about the testing, you can call or email the Arkansas Trucking Association’s Shannon Newton at 501-372-3462 or [email protected].
