The Washington State Patrol says that a truck driver survived a frightening crash that left his truck hanging off of the I-5 Express lanes in Seattle.
The unusual crash occurred around 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the southbound I-5 Express lanes near Mercer Street.

The Washington State Patrol describes the crash as a “one semi collision over the barrier hanging over the ramp at Mercer,” but it isn’t yet clear how the crash occurred.
The truck driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Seattle Fire Department is working to secure the truck.
Troopers say that the Express lanes could be closed for an extended period of time.
