DUI suspected in crash that scattered hay along I-5

A truck driver was arrested on suspicions of driving under the influence in California on Thursday. 

The accident happened on Interstate 5 in Elk Grove at around 1:00 a.m.

According to CBS Sacramento, the truck driver lost control of his rig on southbound I-5 near Elk Grove boulevard and overturned the truck. 

The accident left a load of hay strewn alongside I-5 and left the rig lying on its side on the grassy shoulder of the roadway. 

The truck driver was unhurt in the crash but police suspect he was under the influence at the time of the wreck and have taken him into custody. 

No further information has been released.
