Fire truck and semi crash on Arkansas interstate

Four firefighters and a truck driver were injured last night in a crash in Arkansas.

The crash occurred around 7 p.m. on March 9 on I-55 near Marion, Arkansas.

According to the Marion Fire Department, four firefighters had responded to a previous crash near mile marker 24 when they “were involved in an accident with a semi truck.”

The Marion Fire Department did not provide any additional information on what caused the crash.

In images captured at the scene, you can see heavy damage to both vehicles.

All four firefighters and the truck driver were transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Only one firefighter remains in the hospital as of Tuesday morning — all others have been released.

“God was with us for sure,” wrote Chief Woody Wheeless.

The crash is still under investigation.
