Georgia cops bust trucker for falsifying logs days before crash

While investigating a multi-vehicle crash this morning, Georgia police spotted a log book violation that put a truck driver out of service.

The crash happened on Thursday, September 3, in Troup County, Georgia.

The Georgia Department of Public Safety offered few details about the multi-vehicle crash on I-85, but they did take the time to call out a truck driver involved for log book violations that occurred days earlier:

This morning, MCCD and GSP responded to a multi vehicle crash on I-85 in Troup County. During the inspection, SFC Teet noticed the driver had recorded himself off duty on 9/1 from midnight until 7:15 AM, but Teet found proof that the driver had been on duty, driving at 1:49am. The driver was placed out of service for false logs
