Georgia DPS issues sobering reminder about distracted & fatigued driving

The Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS) recently shared a stunning image of a semi truck that was practically obliterated during a crash as a warning about distracted or fatigued driving.

On December 1, Georgia DPS shared a photo of a semi truck with the cab destroyed and the trailer heavily damaged after crashing into a bridge support. Much of the trailer’s cargo spilled out onto the crash site.

Remarkably, Georgia DPS reported that the truck driver survived what could easily have been a fatal crash.

Authorities did not provide any additional information on the location or time frame when the crash occurred, though several social media users said that the crash happened south of Atlanta on Friday night.

The Georgia DPS shared the photo with the stark warning that “distraction and fatigue can kill.”

Since the photo was posted on December 1, more than 1400 people have reacted to it and nearly 1000 users have shared it.
